Dr Mark Miller

Mark has a strong commitment to General Practice (GP) education and was awarded GP of the year in 2015.

Dr Alan Gane
Partner/General Practitioner
General Practitioner MBBS MRCGP (UK) FRACGP is a local to the Fleurieu Peninsula and has developed an interest in musculoskeletal and sports medicine. Dr Gane is keen to establish a streamlined multidisciplinary pathway for the management of injured athletes and has a special interest in concussion. His objective is to enable athletes of all ages and abilities to perform to the best of their capacity. Dr Gane also visits both Goolwa nursing homes & enjoys cycling, running & cricket in his spare time.

Dr Philip Davidson
Partner/GP Obstetrician
Dr Philip Davidson trained in Adelaide and spent 12 month in the UK as an anaesthetist before returning to Australia in 1993. Since then, Dr Davidson has worked a rural general practitioner in Millicent – South East for ten years and moved to Goolwa with his wife Susan and three children in 2003. Philip has an interest in all aspects of general practice and believes that general practice should ideally provide all of life care for the whole family. Along with being a partner of the practice, Philip is a GP obstetrician, providing ante-natal and post-natal care in Goolwa and delivering babies at the South Coast District Hospital. In 2017 Dr Davidson established a “Kids Clinic” at Goolwa Medical Centre, a drop in clinic for unwell children. In additional to providing care across the full range of adult medical conditions, he visits both Goolwa nursing homes on a weekly basis. When not working, Philip is busy with family and church activities, playing tennis and controlling weeds!

Dr Nicholas Lye

Dr Jared Frampton
Partner/General Practitioner
Dr Jared Frampton completed his undergraduate studies on the Gold Coast in 2008, receiving a Bachelor of Biomedical Science. He then travelled to Geelong, Victoria, completing his medical degree through Deakin University in 2012. Jared is originally from Murray Bridge and enlisted as a soldier with the Australian Regular Army prior to undertaking university study. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has a special interest in preventative and lifestyle medicine, small surgical procedures including ingrown toenail surgery. Outside work, Jared enjoys spending time with his young family, lifts heavy things and practices Brazilian jujitsu.

Dr Carolyn Miller
General Practitioner
Carolyn joined the practice in 1989 with postgraduate training in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Medical Hypnosis. Carolyn has special interests in Women’s Health, Paediatrics, Medical Dermatology and enjoys teaching school children about all health related matters from kindy to high school.

Dr Beth Miller

Dr Stan Czarnecki
General Practitioner
Stan was born in Adelaide to Polish parents. Stan still speaks conversational Polish and studied at Adelaide University graduating in 1985. Before moving to the South Coast in 2000 with his wife Julie he worked in Strathalbyn as a rural GP for 10 years. He enjoyed living in Willow Creek for 17 years where he raised 3 children on a rural property while having an interest in Bushland conservation. In 2017 he moved to Port Elliot and enjoys surfing, gardening and spending time with his family. He works full time at the practice and has interests in General Medicine, Emergency Medicine and performs minor procedures eg. skin lesions, excisions. Stan also has a special interest in nutrition.

Dr Jemma Bowker

Jemma completed her medical degree at Newcastle University in the United Kingdom in 2013. She then worked for two years in the National Health System as a junior doctor and moved to Australia 2015, where she worked in various South Australian hospitals. We are fortunate enough to now have Jemma working as a General Practitioner at Goolwa Medical Centre.

Dr Mizan Rahman
General Practitioner
Dr Mizanur Rahman completed his MBBS from University of Chittagong in Bangladesh in 2004. Before he moved to Australia in 2013 he worked as a Cardiology Registrar in Bangladesh for 4 years. In Australia he started working in Lyell McEwin Hospital in 2014 mainly in the Emergency Department and worked there until 2017. Then he decided to become a General Practitioner and started working in Yankalilla in early 2018. Dr Rahman has moved to Goolwa Medical Center in July 2022 and is enjoying his time at Goolwa. His areas of interest are-Chronic disease, male health and Skin Cancer.
Outside work he is a huge cricket fan and spends significant time watching and spending time with his cricketer son

Kerry Varacalli
Nurse Manager
Kerry graduated in 1980 from Adelaide Children’s Hospital and qualified as a Midwife in 1982. Kerry worked largely in this role at Ashford and South Coast District Hospital until 1999. In 1991, she moved to Goolwa and has worked at Goolwa Medical Centre since 1997. She is what we call ‘part of the furniture’.

Meagan Wittchen
Registered Nurse/Aged Care Advocate
After graduating from Underdale University in 1995, Meagan started her nursing career at the QEH where she worked in the intensive care unit and subsequently gained her graduate certificate of intensive care nursing. Meagan then worked in ICU at Flinders Private Hospital, becoming a clinical nurse and educator. After moving to Goolwa in 2009, she worked at SCDH for a short time before starting at the Goolwa Medical Centre in the same year. A large portion of Meagan’s current role involves chronic disease management, health assessments and veteran care. She also has a diploma in holistic counselling and complimentary therapies.

Kate Oxford

Kate completed her training at the University of SA in 1996 before finishing her graduate nurse program at the Lyell McEwin in 1997. Kate continued her work at the Lyell McEwin until 2004 and moved Victor Harbor where she worked at the SCDH & Noarlunga Hospital until 2005. From that time we have had the pleasure of having Kate at the Goolwa Medical Centre where she worked in the Health Care Homes Program and now in our very busy treatment room in her Registered Nurse capacity.
